W. Charles Hughes



W. Charles "Charlie" Hughes is Board Certified by the Florida Bar Association in the area of business litigation. Mr. Hughes also practices in the areas of general civil litigation, probate and estate litigation, real estate litigation, wrongful death and insurance litigation. A native Floridian, and a double Gator, Mr. Hughes was raised in Ft. Myers, Florida. Mr. Hughes attended the University of Florida, where he earned his undergraduate degree from the College of Journalism and Communications in 1998, and his Juris Doctor (with honors) in 2002.

Throughout Mr. Hughes's career he has handled many different cases and participated in many bench and jury trials in various civil practice areas. With his Florida Bar Business Litigation Board Certification, Mr. Hughes is a specialist in the area of business litigation, and has experience representing both small and large businesses in resolving their disputes.

Mr. Hughes is a member of the Eighth Judicial Circuit Bar Association, the James C. Adkins, Jr. American Inn of Court and has served as member of the Eighth Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee. Mr. Hughes also has a "AV" peer review rating from the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory. He is admitted to practice before all Florida State Courts, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Florida, the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States.

While not at work, Mr. Hughes enjoys spending time and traveling with his wife, Ewa. He also is an avid Gator fan and attends many University of Florida sporting events.
